Middle Pool

The Middle pool is set beside the A442 "Queensway" and Wombridge Way in the area of Trench. The pool is a very good size and has a good stamp of good sized fish.

Middle Pool isn't the easiest pool TAA have, but if you put the time in, you have the chance of some fantastic Bream, Roach and the odd Tench when fishing, and even some very large carp!
​
Middle pool is mostly frequented by the budding "Carp Angler" as the chance of a big fish is the lure of the pool. This isn't a "runs water" and you will need to put the time in, and ensure that your tactics are up to the task. These fish know what you're doing!

**Koi Herpies Virus (KHV)**
Sadly, due to the unfortunate event in which un-tested fish were introduced to the pool without TAA being informed that they were not tested, Middle Pool has been infected with KHV.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR NETS ARE RINSED AND FULLY DRY AFTER FISHING MIDDLE POOL AND BEFORE YOU FISH ANOTHER VENUE!

Depth Of the Middle Pool.
The Pools range from 1-8 ft maximum depth, 4-5 ft average.
Parking At The Middle Pool.
The Middle Pool has the benefit of it's own parking. The parking is not vast by any means, and is shared by the general public. To ensure that you get parking, keep the time in which you arrive in mind.
** TAA Cannot/will not be held responsible for any damage or loss to vehicles whilst parking on public car parks. **
Is The Middle Pool Disabled Friendly?
Although there is a flat, and recently serviced pathway that goes around the perimeter of the Middle Pool, access to the pool requires anglers to traverse steps to each of the pegs.

All anglers are to assess their own capabilities before they fish TAA waters.
How Many Pegs Are There On Middle Pool?
The Middle Pool has a total of around 25 pegs.
Can I Night Fish Middle Pool?
Yes! TAA members are able to night fish the Middle Pool as part of their standard ticket. Please see TAA rules regarding anglers under 18 years old.
No night fishing for anglers who have purchased a day ticket.
Baits And Methods On The Middle Pool.
Whether you're a course anger, or you favour carp or Pike fishing tactics, if you like a challenge, then the Middle Pool is right for you!
If you are targeting Bream, Tench and Roach, you cant beat the usual course fishing methods such as Pole, Waggler (float) , Feeder and Bomb tactics. Maggots, Casters, Hemp, a good quality groundbait, pellets, sweetcorn and small bandable boilies and wafters will always get the attention of the Carp and Tench in the Middle Pool.

If it's Pike you're after, then it's deadbait tactics that produce the best although, some use lures to good effect too.
